Serving the highlights from the daily scoops on the app

Hey friends - it’s finally getting warmer in NYC, but can we trust it yet? I don’t know.
Welcome back to the weekly Scoops Spotlight, where we’ll serve up a little summary of the week with the company scoops that got the most community reactions.

🌎 The Big Picture
Uncertainty is likely the word you’ve been hearing a lot lately.
Investors hate uncertainty. So that’s why the market has been tanking over the past few weeks.
The underlying economy has been solid, but the new administration’s policy volatility, particularly around the trade war, has started getting more people talking about a recession.
Employers are mostly hanging onto their workers, outside of the federal government, and mortgage rates are falling, helping homebuyers. Business costs have held steady, offering some relief from inflation for now.
However, the trade war is likely to raise costs, and a potential government shutdown isn’t inspiring confidence. Small businesses are growing wary of policy changes, and affordability challenges in housing and student loan repayment are mounting.
The planet keeps getting hotter, creating more resource shortages and price spikes, like the one we’re seeing with coffee. It’s a challenging time.

🔦 Feature Spotlight
Low-key one of my favorite features: Notification rescheduling.

It’s not really that cool compared to all the other stuff we have on the app, but I love a little flexibility.
