Are oil companies the only problem?
Our answer:
We recently discussed how fossil fuel companies have fairly earned climate villain status because they were aware of the climate impacts of burning oil but spent decades lobbying and spreading misinformation, taking a page out of Big Tobacco's playbook. However, solely focusing on shutting down oil production is not a winning strategy. Our world is heavily reliant on fossil fuels as an energy source. Instead, we should concentrate on reducing demand, and many parties are responsible for that.
