The number of Americans laid off last week jumped unexpectedly, increasing for the first time since April. The Federal Reserve said theyโ€™ll keep the stimulus pumping for the time being to get people back to work. Investors are starting to show less concern for a major inflation problem, seeing some industry prices fall and cracks appear in the recovery.
