The number of Americans laid off last week jumped unexpectedly, increasing for the first time since April. The Federal Reserve said theyโll keep the stimulus pumping for the time being to get people back to work. Investors are starting to show less concern for a major inflation problem, seeing some industry prices fall and cracks appear in the recovery.
