🤓 Inside Scoop...
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production is key to combatting climate change. The global agricultural industry uses more land than any other industry. High levels of industrial farming and monocropping can lead to soil degradation and diminish the soil's natural ability to capture carbon from the air.
Regenerative agriculture
prioritizes creating healthy soil without artificial fertilizer to capture more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Indigenous cultures have practiced this type of agriculture for millennia with large-scale success. Regenerative agriculture promotes direct carbon capture without the need for any expensive, high-tech machinery. However, it needs to be managed locally to meet a region's specific climate needs.
