Markets bounced back from a long downtrend today as investors found some optimism in corporate financial updates.

First-quarter earnings reports have been mostly positive so far.

Both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund slashed their expectations for global economic growth, believing

the war in Ukraine will significantly damage supply chains more than they already have,

sending ripple effects across economies. Both still expect strong economic growth but cut forecasts from above 4% to around 3%.  

The Census Bureau reported a

pickup in home construction in March

. The number of building permits and housing starts both came in higher than economists expected.

Clean-burning fuel, like green hydrogen, offers enormous potential to decarbonize the transportation sector by replacing gasoline and diesel.

Green hydrogen

is produced using only water and renewable or low-carbon energy processes. For big corporations with major trucking and shipping components to their business, cutting fuel emissions can effectively cut down their indirect (Scope 3) emissions, which are the hardest and most important to address.
