Markets continued the positive vibes from Friday but ended January down over -5% since the start of the year. January is typically a strong month in the markets, but this was the
worst monthly decline since March 2020.

77% of companies have reported higher profits than investors expected

Limited natural gas and oil supply, combined with escalating concerns about the geopolitical tensions with Russia, the world's 2nd-largest oil producer, have continued pressure on oil prices.
Both natural gas and oil prices have been on a steady incline.
