The market floated upwards today after a rough couple of weeks.

Consumers are feeling more confident and less worried about inflation.

The University of Michigan Index of Consumer Sentiment was higher than expected in November. Participants didn't expect high inflation to stick around quite as long as they did earlier in the year.

Today, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York also reported a

decline in consumer inflation expectations.

Inflation expectations are critical because if consumers and businesses expect things to keep getting expensive, companies will keep raising prices in anticipation, perpetuating the cycle of higher prices.

Businesses are still dealing with rising costs.

The Labor Department reported Friday that the producer price index rose more than expected, driven mainly by a 38% surge in wholesale vegetable prices.

Jet fuel is an essential focus for sustainability. The aviation industry is responsible for 2-3% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Sustainable Aviation Fuels

(SAFs) are made from sustainable waste products, like feedstocks and agricultural residues, and can reduce emissions by over 80%. Integrating more alternative aviation fuels can help airlines mitigate their environmental impacts.
