Markets took a tumble today on a mix of concerns. Infection rates from the new variant are rising rapidly, threatening new restrictions. The new omicron variant has already appeared in 43 of 50 states, and 156,000 more cases were reported on Friday. President Biden's strategic $2T Build Back Better social & climate stimulus bill has been derailed by the dissent of conservative Democratic Senator Joe Manchin. 🤓 Inside Scoop...

The holidays can be a particularly volatile time for markets. Despite seeming like a big machine, the market is driven by people. Fewer traders at their desks and fewer fund managers making investment decisions can have a tangible effect on the volume of stock traded each day. When fewer trades happen per minute, the swings in prices can be much more severe.
